Sip, Savor, and Soak Up the Sounds at Tubac Jack's
By Stacey Gregory
Tubac Jack’s Restaurant and Saloon is a lively, historic spot that encapsulates the essence of Tubac, Arizona. What was established in 1958 as a steakhouse called The Tubac Inn is now the popular Tubac Jack’s, one of the oldest restaurants in the area and the place for food, spirits, and fun.
The menu boasts mesquite-smoked meats that bring rich, smoky flavors to signature dishes created on a mesquite wood smoker, like baby back ribs, pulled pork, and the famous green chili stew. The use of the smoker sets the dishes apart with a unique taste reminiscent of the region. Pair your dish with a drink from the full bar, which offers everything from local craft beers to expertly mixed cocktails. And that’s just the beginning.
“We’re proud of our music scene, hosting local musicians on the patio during weekends and live bands every Saturday night, making it a go-to spot for entertainment and dancing,” said owner Jim Lagattuta. “When you’re at Tubac Jack’s, you have your fingers on the pulse of what’s happening in Tubac.”
Community events are central to the Tubac Jack’s, too, with longstanding traditions like their annual Luau Party, a spooky Halloween celebration, and a green-filled St. Patrick’s Day parade and party. With seating both indoors and on the dog-friendly patio, Tubac Jack’s is an ideal place to savor a meal while soaking in the year-round Arizona sunshine.
